When LTC homes have laceration repair supplies readily available, physicians can make on-site suturing a standard practice and avoid unnecessary transfers to hospital.
Each care home will need to use their own procurement process to access supplies. A suture kit supply list, along with contact information for the Territory Rep for the Stevens Company, can be found here.
Please note that the LTCI is unable to provide suture kit supplies to long-term care homes at this time.
